What is somatics and embodiment? What do these practices actually look like? How are they different from regular coaching? And most importantly – why are they so powerful?
Embodiment and somatic work is all about dropping into the body.
It’s about using breath, movement, awareness, and sound to help you get out of your head and tune into the sensations happening within you.
Why do we do this?
Because the brain is brilliant at protecting us—it’s wired to keep us safe.
But in doing so, it often shuts down uncomfortable feelings. This is what we call numbing.
The body, though, is wise.
It remembers.
It knows what we’re truly feeling—even when our mind tries to override, deny, or suppress it.
When we drop out of the head and into the body, we begin to hear the truth.
We connect with a deeper knowing that lives underneath the noise.
And that’s where transformation begins—not from force, but from truth.
Traditional talk therapy (which absolutely has value) often isn’t concerned with what the body is saying.
And so we end up over-analyzing, looping in our thoughts, or trying to convince ourselves into a new mindset.
But here’s the thing:
If we have to convince ourselves of something… it usually doesn’t stick.
Because what we think won’t transform us unless we also feel it.
We need to feel the truth in our body.
In an embodiment coaching session, I guide you—gently and safely—into this inner space.
It’s similar to guided meditation, but deeper.
Together, we move through the layers of protection your mind has built over time—layers meant to keep you safe, but that often leave you feeling numb and disconnected from who you really are and what you truly desire.
At your own pace, we uncover what’s been hidden beneath those layers.
We meet your truth together.
We expand your capacity to be with that truth.
And through that expansion, you learn how to:
Be more present
Sit with discomfort
Receive more truth and pleasure
And love every part of you—including the parts you were told weren’t lovable, desirable, or enough.
Because once you feel that truth in your body, there’s no going back.
It becomes a part of you.
It can’t be unlearned.
And that is why this transformation lasts.
Because it’s not in your head.
It lives in you now.
